Consumer and Community Engagement Framework

The framework includes the following principles of engagement:

  • partnership
  • respect and dignity
  • inclusivity
  • improvement.

It also sets out the supporting processes and structure for engaging with people.

Patient experience and consumer and community engagement strategy

The strategy provides guidance to achieve the following goals:

  • promote consumer engagement as a key foundation of a person-centred care culture
  • measure the patient experience and support patient experience improvements
  • engage consumers in purposeful partnerships
  • engage our communities in purposeful partnerships
  • support consumers to understand their health journey and make informed health decisions.
