Visiting hours

Visitors are essential to patient health and wellbeing. We consider patients’ visiting preferences with clinical care, safety and the need for rest.

We are flexible about when you can visit people in our hospitals. However, there may be times when we may need to restrict visitors or ask visitors to leave.

If you plan to visit someone, please check with the ward staff or call Caloundra Health Service on 07 5420 5000 to see what visiting restrictions may apply, before you arrive.

Booking a room

If you live locally

You'll need to get a referral from your clinician. They can give you this once you have confirmation of your treatment and where it will take place.

If you live outside of the Sunshine Coast area

You'll need to be referred by a clinician to a specialist medical service that isn't available at your local public hospital or health facility. If this is the case, you may be eligible for a subsidy on your room.
