Booking a room
If you live locally
You'll need to get a referral from your clinician. They can give you this once you have confirmation of your treatment and where it will take place.
If you live outside of the Sunshine Coast area
You'll need to be referred by a clinician to a specialist medical service that isn't available at your local public hospital or health facility. If this is the case, you may be eligible for a subsidy on your room.
Redevelopment
Nambour General Hospital is undergoing an $86 million Redevelopment Project which will expand the hospital’s capacity and upgrade some existing clinical areas to support the needs of the community.
